TWICE AS NICE: PSTA Wins ‘Best of The Bay’ for 2nd Year in a Row at Regional Bus Roadeo
PSTA Operator Terall Beery will Move on to the State Roadeo April 19th–20th
St. Petersburg, FL—For the second year in a row, the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) won ‘Best of the Bay’ at the Regional Bus Roadeo in Manatee County this weekend. Nearly 30 bus operators from Hillsborough, Manatee, Sarasota and Pinellas County competed by driving through an obstacle course with tight turns, stopping at bus stops and backing up a 40-foot bus, all while completing the course in under 7 minutes.

PSTA’s own Terall Beery, won the competition with the best score overall and will compete at the state Roadeo competition in Jacksonville from April 19th through the 20th. This is Beery’s second time winning the regionals outright. Other winners from PSTA include Nehemia Guerra, who won 2nd place and coming in 3rd place was PSTA’s Stephan Thomas.
Also, PSTA is sending a few of its own Fleet Technicians to the State Roadeo in April. Late last month Paul Levesque, Tyler Johnson, and Bobby Farris, won the Regional Maintenance Roadeo, their sixth time winning the competition.

“We are so proud of all of our operators and fleet technicians for competing and representing PSTA so well,” said Brad Miller, Chief Executive Officer of PSTA. “Bringing home the gold is no easy feat, but our employees certainly set the bar extremely high. Thank you to our friends at Hillsborough, Manatee and Sarasota for participating in this fantastic competition.”
