Connected Community Bus Network

PSTA’s network just got a major glow-up. We’re ending the year faster and more connected than ever. And a whole new bus line along 34th St will SPARK connections between Downtown and South St. Pete. There’s never been a better time to try riding PSTA.

The Connected Community Bus Network (CCBN) is a brand-new, redesigned bus network with the goal of improving overall services that optimize ridership and coverage. Let’s dive into the changes.

Skip the wait and get there directly:

Route 4: PSTA complex to Skyway Marina

Route 9: South St. Pete to Gateway Mall

Route 38: Madeira Beach to Downtown St. Pete

Route 65: Indian Shores to Seminole City Center

Route 78: Park Street to Northwest Transfer Center (Tampa)

Five routes now run every 20 minutes or less:

SunRunner (Beach express)

SPARK (New premium service on 34th St S)

Routes 4, 52 & 60

All-electric buses running every 15 minutes from Eckerd College to Grand Central Station, featuring:

  • Upgraded stations with real-time information
  • Lighted totems and shelters
  • Front and rear door boarding
  • Direct connection to SunRunner for beach access

SPARK connects downtown to South St. Pete with frequent, easy service, making your commute a breeze.

New ride service in Clearwater and Safety Harbor – request a ride anywhere within the zone to major destinations like Countryside Mall and Park Street Terminal.

Most routes now run 7 days a week with improved Sunday frequencies. Weekend adventures just got easier!

  • Suncoast Beach Trolley & Jolley Trolley: Alternating every 15 minutes, 7 days a week
  • Routes 4 & 9: Sunday service improved from hourly to every 30 minutes

Routes 4, 9, 18, 52, 59, 74, and 78 now have A and B variants for clearer destinations. Just look for the letter on the bus sign.

Some routes are getting new numbers for better efficiency:

  • Route 34 becomes the new Spark premium service
  • Route 7 becomes Routes 9B & 29
  • Route 68 becomes Routes 18, 38 & Beach Trolley
  • And more
